Picker Gold Graduate Medical Education (GME) Grant Program (Gold Foundation)
​
Supports research and development of innovative projects within the GME setting, especially interventions that facilitate successful patient-centered care initiatives. Projects include developing curriculum.
Award: $15000-$25000 over 18 months.

SAEM Education Project Grant (Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Foundation)
​
Proposals that foster innovation in teaching, education, and educational research in emergency medicine for faculty, fellow, resident, and medical students.
Award: $20,000

AMA Giambalvo Fund for the Advancement of Women
​
Awarded to research advancing the study of women in the medical profession and strengthen AMAs capacity to identify and address issues affecting women physicians and medical students.
Award: Up to $10,000

Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation President’s Grants
​
Demonstration and evaluation grants for interventions focused on: diversity, equity, and belonging; increasing collaboration among future health professionals; and preparing future health professionals to navigate ethical dilemmas. Proposals should target medical students, residents, and learners in other health professions in clinical learning environments.
Award: Up to $25,000 for one year or less.

Spencer Foundation Small Research Grants
​
Awards rigorous, intellectually ambitious, and technically sound research proposals that will contribute to the improvement of education.
Award: Up to $50,000 for projects from one to five years.

STEMMLER Fund (The National Board of Medical Examiners)
​
Provides grants for researchers advancing assessment at any point along the continuum of medical education. Recent awarded projects include: competency-based assessment and education, patient-related outcomes in training, and teamwork in health care.
Award: Up to $150,000 over two years for research or development.

SDRME Grants (The Society of Directors of Research in Medical Education)
​
Synthesis paper grants that advance practice, theory, or research in medical education. Review methods include critical, conceptual, scoping, realist, and systematic reviews.
Award: Up to $5000 for the first author and travel expenses to attend the SDRME meeting to present the completed research.
​
AMA Accelerating Change in Medical Education Innovation Grants (American Medical Association)
​
Open to undergraduate and graduate medical educators for developing curriculum, professional development, etc. to help community health and medical education programs.
Award: $40,000-$60,000
GEA Educational Research Grants:
​
Proposals that address important problems in medical education and foster collaborations across GEA regions or multiple schools, professions, or departments are strongly encouraged. Awarded topics include: faculty development, interprofessional education, virtual learning, and health equity, diversity, & inclusion.
Award: Up to $10,000 each up to a two-year grant period
