Excellence in patient care, teaching, biomedical research, and community service.
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is renowned for excellence in patient care, teaching, biomedical research, and community service. BIDMC is a tertiary care institution located in the heart of Boston's medical community serving more than half a million patients annually from Boston and communities north, west and south of the city, as well as a national and international referral base. BIDMC is on of Harvard Medical School's main teaching affiliates.
If you are a medical student entering your final year and are interested in an elective course at BIDMC, please read on.
We are a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School (HMS) which does offer one of the largest visiting medical student programs in the country. To be considered for enrollment in a BIDMC elective course, students must submit application materials to the HMS Office of the Registrar.
