POSTER SESSION
To be held as part of
Medical Education Week

Where - Leventhal Conference Center - Shapiro 2 - East Campus
Who can apply?
Any BIDMC/HMFP employee with an interest in medical education (e.g., attending, fellow, resident, intern, nurse, social worker, etc) is eligible to apply. You (or a colleague on the project) will need to commit to attending the poster session which will take place on June 3, 2024, from 4:30pm-6:30pm.

We want to represent the range of education research and scholarship being (or has been) done at BIDMC. This includes completed education research studies, works in progress, QI, classroom teaching sessions, bedside teaching, assessments, simulation projects, educational materials, etc. We are particularly interested in interprofessional and nursing projects as well as the range of UME and GME initiatives.

This year, a subset of poster submissions focused on simulation-based educational activities will be invited to give a 10-minute oral presentation at the annual BILH Simulation Symposium on Friday, June 7th, in addition to the June 3 event.
How do I apply?
Click on this link to fill out the application form to complete the application form. On this application form, you will be asked for a 250-300 word abstract describing your project, including type of project (research, QI, curriculum or workshop, assessment tool--anything related to teaching & learning). You can create a new poster or use one that you have presented at a recent conference.

Timeline
April 26, 2024 - Applications (including abstract) due by midnight

May 3, 2024 - You will be notified if your application has been accepted
​
May 24, 2024 - E-posters for accepted projects due. E-posters should be formatted as a single slide using PowerPoint or .pdf document. If you have a poster that you have presented at a recent conference, you can submit the electronic version in its existing format.

June 3, 2024 - E-poster event

June 7, 2024 - Simulation event for simulation focused e-posters
This session will include presentations of teaching awards & awards for posters
This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your work, network with colleagues, exchange ideas and insights, and celebrate award recipients
