Who can apply?

Any BIDMC/HMFP employee with an interest in medical education (e.g., attending, fellow, resident, intern, nurse, social worker, etc.) is eligible to apply. Please note that presenters whose posters are selected for e-poster display will be asked to commit to being present at their poster during the session. We want to represent the range of education research and scholarship that is being (or has recently been) carried out at BIDMC. This includes completed education research studies, works in progress, education QI, classroom teaching sessions, bedside teaching, assessments, simulation projects, educational materials, and the like.

How do I apply?

Click on this link to fill out the application form. You will be asked to write a 250-300 word abstract describing your project, including type of project (research, QI, curriculum or workshop, assessment tool—anything related to teaching & learning). You can create a new poster or use one that you have presented at a recent conference. All accepted abstracts will be featured in a curated booklet distributed to attendees at the event. A selection committee will also identify the top 20 posters for live e-poster display during the session — selected presenters will be notified and asked to be present at their poster to discuss their work with attendees.

e-posters should be submitted in a digital format such as a slide using PowerPoint or a pdf document. Once your poster has been accepted, we will send more information on formatting requirements. If you have a poster that you have presented at a recent conference, you can submit the electronic version in its existing format.
