Hosted at LHMC’s Samuel & Nancy Jo Altshuler Simulation Center, the symposium was the brainchild of co-hosts Daniel Ricotta, MD, Senior Director of the Carl J. Shapiro Simulation and Skills Center at BIDMC and Dmitri Nepomnayshy, MD, Director of Simulation and Professional Development at LHMC.
Will Grandin, MD, advanced heart failure and transplant surgeon, Department of Cardiology at BIDMC was the Keynote speaker.
Leadership, including Kevin Tabb, MD, President and CEO, and Gyongyi Szabo, MD, PhD, Chief Academic Officer, both of BILH, as well as Richard Schwartzstein, MD, Executive Director Carl J. Shapiro Institute for Education and Research at BIDMC, Peter Healy, MS, president of BIDMC, Susan Moffat-Bruce, MD, PhD, President LHMC, and Anne Mosenthal, MD, Chief Academic Officer, LHMC, weighed in on the many opportunities presented by collaborating to innovate new educational and training paradigms—from improving patient care to providing national leadership in medical education.
